Your journeys and evidence
Travel Log stores journeys, route points, vehicle details, charging and fuel records, expenses, selected evidence and settings locally on your device. With your permission it uses precise location, including in the background while tracking. You control location permissions in iPhone Settings.
Receipt and charging-image recognition in the iPhone app runs on-device. You review extracted values before saving. Saved evidence and exported copies may contain personal information; share only what is needed.
Reader
The Reader processes user-selected report and claim-progress files locally in your browser. It does not upload those files, receipts or maps to Travel Log or Cloudflare. No Travel Log account is required.
The offline cache contains application files and a clearly labelled fictional sample, not your reports. Save progress to a file before closing. Downloaded files remain under your control.
Optional Genie format assistance
Only when you request assistance and confirm sending, the Reader sends your setup description, selected blank or redacted form screenshot and current template configuration through our Cloudflare Worker to Google Gemini. The Reader does not send your report, journeys, receipts, maps or generated preview values. Check the selected image first and remove personal information. Do not use a completed claim or receipt as the form screenshot.
The Worker does not store these inputs or log their contents. Cloudflare processes connection information for delivery and rate limiting. Google processes the supplied setup information under its Gemini API terms; its retention and data-use terms depend on the API service tier. Manual setup, previews and saved templates work without Gemini.
Saved format templates are held in this browser’s local storage until browser site data is cleared. Export a template to keep a portable copy. Templates contain configuration, not completed journeys or claim values.
Apple services and backups
Apple location, geocoding and MapKit services may receive coordinates or place queries when resolving addresses, showing maps or calculating routes. StoreKit handles purchases; Travel Log does not receive payment-card details. WatchConnectivity and CarPlay provide companion controls.
Your device backup settings determine whether Apple backs up local app data. Manually exported backups and reports remain in the storage you choose. Automatic encrypted Travel Log iCloud backup is not currently enabled.
Sharing, deletion and website hosting
Files leave the app when you choose to share or export them. The receiving service then handles them under its own policies. Deleting a local record does not delete previously exported copies or backups. Removing the app can remove its local data.
Cloudflare hosts this website and may process standard connection information such as IP addresses to deliver and secure it. The site has no advertising or analytics scripts and cannot access your journey library.
